After a day at the easel, to end up with “something” where only that morning there was a blank canvas … that is the thrill of creation.
Over time I have produced quite a body of artwork and now I am ready to share it with the world. That’s a bit scary!
Before I started painting I studied Philosophy, worked in an office, learnt and taught Japanese. Cerebral but not creative.
I became a mother, three times. Raising children is perhaps the greatest act of creation.
My work has grown from who I am. I paint flowers, scenes from nature and people, ever fascinating people. I love to use bright colours. Perhaps that comes form the two years I spent in India as a young child.
My personal philosophy is to enjoy life, to let oneself be overwhelmed with wonder by what is beautiful in this world.
